The Coshocton County Health Department and the Coshocton City Health Department combined at the beginning of calendar year 2023, to form the Coshocton Public Health District (CPHD). The CPHD is located at 637 Chestnut Street in the City of Coshocton. The agency is funded by inside millage (not levy funded) on local property taxes, fees from services provided, grants and state subsidies.
The Health District divisions are: Environmental Health, District Health, Maternal and Child Health Clinic (MCHC) and Women and Infant Children (WIC) are all supported by these funding sources. The Coshocton Public Health District includes 18 employees. The CPHD has regulatory jurisdiction for all areas of Coshocton County. The Coshocton Public Health District is governed by a Board of Health, consisting of five members, who are appointed by the District Advisory Council (DAC).
